Put together a few outstanding cards today - may have found a home for them with the RSPCA. Got some other ideas I'm keen on trying soon. Watch this space!

Last year Age UK and Innocent Juices ran a campaign to make hats for their juice bottles to raise funds. These are a sample of what I made. Now they are doing it again this year so the wool and needles are out, ready and waiting.

and then i got slightly carried away, making too many throws, and not enough cushions - they were popular for newborn babies.

Years later I moved on - starting with throws or playmats, and then - my own invention - birth cushions. Experimented on the family and was happy with the result.

Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with a b c
When you sew you begin with . . .

. . . something simple, and not dive into the deep end with a reversible log cabin patchwork jacket for a lovely daughter. But then I don't really follow the rules. This was way back in the 70s - correct me Liz - but the result is still around today.

one of my favourite styles - the little pictures were part of an advertisement for stamps on the glossy back cover of a papercraft magazine - i think I got my money's worth as stamping isn't in my repertoire.

this started off as a birthday card - until a 6 year old pointed out the easter eggs and bunny. it was quickly changed to conform!!

not really the beginning . . .

some of my recent attempts at cardmaking. but beware, teabag folding can become addictive - i have made over 100 already and still busy folding!!
